Women’s, Gender and Sexuality 研究 is an integral part of the curriculum of Agnes Scott College. Approximately one-third of the Agnes Scott faculty teach courses cross-listed in this discipline.
Women’s, Gender and Sexuality 研究 courses invite students to explore gender and its intersections with sexuality, race and ethnicity, nationality, disability, and class. Women and gender are analyzed from the perspective of the humanities, fine arts, social and natural sciences. Controversial issues are approached from various viewpoints, inspiring lively classroom debate and critical thinking.

Because Agnes Scott is a college for women, and nearly all the humanities, fine arts and social science departments offer Women’s Gender and Sexuality 研究 courses, Women’s Gender and Sexuality 研究 is woven seamlessly into the fabric of Agnes Scott’s culture and curriculum.
Due to the symbiotic relationship between theory and practice in Women's, Gender and Sexuality 研究, all students of the major complete an internship. Recent internship placements include: the Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence, the Marcus Autism Center, and the Feminist Women’s Health Center.
Many Women’s, Gender and Sexuality 研究 students are involved in campus clubs and organizations such as student government, Triota (the WGSS Honor Society), Latinas UNIDAS, WITKAZE and the LGBTQIA student organizations on campus as well.
The knowledge and skills honed as a Women's, Gender and Sexuality 研究 major are directly applicable to a variety of job environments.
Upon graduation, Women's Gender and Sexuality majors commonly work in organizations dedicated to social justice, pursue graduate study or law school, work in social service or nonprofit organizations, work with agencies and businesses that focus on women and LGBTQ issues, or teach.
